Your Company:A growing company operating in the health and social care industry is searching for a Locality Manager to join their team in the Bournemouth area. As an established business that provides comprehensive support to a range of service users to promote their well-being, integrity and independence, the company strives to also provide the best quality services it can.As such, this role is of paramount importance in this delivery and execution of their services. Working in the Ferndown area and acting as a key point of contact and subject matter expert within the operational team the position holder will be ensuring the safe and successful delivery of the service in accordance with legislation, regulations and service user needs. The position holder will also be contributing to the overall development and growth of the business, to ensure compliance with objectives as set out in the business plan.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the maintenance of registration standards set out by the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and the CQC Regulations 2009, ensuring the business meets all legal obligations and supporting managers to develop policies in-line with these, investigating when shortfalls happen via inspections
  • Assisting in the line management of teams, conducting appraisals, supervising day-to-day duties when needed, identifying areas for training and development and ensuring these needs are met
  • Proactively investigation any complaints or grievances, overseeing when necessary disciplinary actions and ensuring that not only are positive conclusions reached, but that all parties, particularly external ones, are satisfied
  • Monitoring service quality, gaining feedback where needed and making improvements aimed at enhancing not only the business but the experience of the service users
  • Holding accountability for safeguarding policies, local authority protocols and statutory requirements, handling matters of risk management, ensuring that whilst risks are prevented where possible, that this doesn't impede on the lives of the service users
  • Chairing and leading meetings, ensuring that important points are discussed and that any needed actions resulting from this are carried out
What you will need to Apply:This business is seeking professionals with previous exposure within an operational or quality management role, and with specific industry exposure to the health and social care sector. Applicants should be natural leaders, able to manage a diverse team of multiple professionals across various functions, and as such should either possess a qualification in Leadership & Management or be willing to work towards one.
