- Supporting the maintenance of registration standards set out by the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and the CQC Regulations 2009, ensuring the business meets all legal obligations and supporting managers to develop policies in-line with these, investigating when shortfalls happen via inspections
- Assisting in the line management of teams, conducting appraisals, supervising day-to-day duties when needed, identifying areas for training and development and ensuring these needs are met
- Proactively investigation any complaints or grievances, overseeing when necessary disciplinary actions and ensuring that not only are positive conclusions reached, but that all parties, particularly external ones, are satisfied
- Monitoring service quality, gaining feedback where needed and making improvements aimed at enhancing not only the business but the experience of the service users
- Holding accountability for safeguarding policies, local authority protocols and statutory requirements, handling matters of risk management, ensuring that whilst risks are prevented where possible, that this doesn't impede on the lives of the service users
- Chairing and leading meetings, ensuring that important points are discussed and that any needed actions resulting from this are carried out
