- Ensuring customer requirements are translated into software requirements where proposed solution architecture, operational needs and platform suitability for software testing are all covered
- Undertaking tasks on behalf of the company with third parties including requirement gathering, design reviews and integration activities
- Reviewing solutions to ensure they meet the functional requirements set out, including both customer and internal needs
- Providing technical advice and system level guidance for internal departments
- Maintaining the requirements baseline for each product
- Meeting the requirements for the company quality management system
- Ensuring knowledge of specialist technical topics is maintained and updated, meaning that any technical projects can be completed
- Leading the process improvement plan for the systems team
- Strong knowledge of engineering practices, methods, tools and processes particularly for requirements engineering and solution architecting
- Sound knowledge of systems engineering best practices
- An understanding of ATC operational protocols and procedures
- Experience using Windows operating systems
- Confident communication abilities, with experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience handling customer requirements on system components and experience in preparing detailed requirement specifications for software development and testing
- Knowledge of ATC/ATM environments
- Knowledge of requirements management tools
