Are you a trained and experienced SEN teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs?

Prospero teaching is looking for an SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEND school setting in Bournemouth and Poole.

Our clients are specialist educational provisions for young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. They are in need of an experienced SEN teacher to join them on a long-term basis, from January 2025. With the complex needs of the students, we are looking for individuals who are capable and enthusiastic to work in a challenging but highly rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will be working with students with behavioural difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, so prior experience within this field is desirable but its not essential.

Location - Poole, Dorset
Position - Early Years Teacher (ASc)
Start date - January 2025
Contract type - Long-Term / Perm
Full time/part time - Full time
Minimum rate of pay - GBP162 daily

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support each childs development.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and reports as required.

Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with children with Autism and challenging behaviour.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
