We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join one of our fantastic schools in Bournemouth and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Teacher, you will work with pupils with varying special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. You will create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment to help all students achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement tailored teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic care for pupils.
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lesson plans as necessary.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders about student progress and well-being.
Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
Strong understanding of SEN-specific teaching strategies, such as TEACCH, PECS, or Makaton (desirable).
Excellent classroom management skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
