Job Title: PE Lead / Sports Coach
Location: BournemouthHours: 32.5, 35, or 37 hours per week (flexible to suit the right candidate)Salary: £103.12 - £117.39 per day
We are are working with a dedicated SEMH primary school committed to supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs in Bournemouth. They are looking for a PE Lead / Sports Coach to join their team on an immediate basis.
As the PE Lead / Sports Coach, you will:
- Plan and Deliver PE Lessons: Create engaging, tailored physical education lessons that meet the needs of our pupils.
- Organise School Events: Lead exciting events like sports days, tournaments, and other physical activities.
- Provide PPA Cover: Support teaching staff by delivering high-quality lessons during PPA time.
- Plan, lead, and assess PE sessions that are inclusive and accessible for children with SEMH and SEND needs.
- Promote physical health, teamwork, and confidence in pupils.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure PE and sports are integrated into the school's overall curriculum.
- Foster a safe and positive environment during activities, ensuring all students feel included.
- Support and mentor students in building their physical and emotional skills.
- Qualifications: Relevant sports coaching or teaching qualifications.
- Experience: A proven track record of working with children, delivering the sports curriculum, and supporting SEMH and SEND pupils.
- Background: Previous experience as a sports coach, sports cover supervisor, or similar role in a school setting.
- Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate children.
