We are are working with a dedicated SEMH primary school committed to supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs in Bournemouth. They are looking for a PE Lead / Sports Coach to join their team on an immediate basis.

As the PE Lead / Sports Coach, you will:

  • Plan and Deliver PE Lessons: Create engaging, tailored physical education lessons that meet the needs of our pupils.
  • Organise School Events: Lead exciting events like sports days, tournaments, and other physical activities.
  • Provide PPA Cover: Support teaching staff by delivering high-quality lessons during PPA time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, lead, and assess PE sessions that are inclusive and accessible for children with SEMH and SEND needs.
  • Promote physical health, teamwork, and confidence in pupils.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure PE and sports are integrated into the school's overall curriculum.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment during activities, ensuring all students feel included.
  • Support and mentor students in building their physical and emotional skills.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualifications: Relevant sports coaching or teaching qualifications.
  • Experience: A proven track record of working with children, delivering the sports curriculum, and supporting SEMH and SEND pupils.
  • Background: Previous experience as a sports coach, sports cover supervisor, or similar role in a school setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate children.
  • Passion: A commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children through physical education.
