Job Description:
Role Overview: As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe, reliable, and in excellent working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostics: Perform diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues accurately and efficiently.
Repairs and Maintenance: Carry out repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
Customer Service: Communicate with customers to explain vehicle issues and the repairs needed, providing excellent customer service.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor time.
Tools and Equipment: Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and used safely.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technicians and support staff to ensure a smooth workflow within the workshop.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, preferably in an independent workshop setting.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components, with the ability to perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Certification: Relevant automotive certifications are preferred but not essential.
