An opportunity for an Administrator has arisen with the local authorities on a 3 Month contract
Pay Rate: 14.00 Per Hour (PAYE) plus Holiday pay.
Location: TQ13 9JQ
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Job Purpose:
To validate, record and monitor planning applications received by the integrated planning team approach and agreed service administrative procedures: to provide efficient and effective customer-focused service delivery to the public and other users of the Development Management service.
Typical involvement will include:
- To validate and register all planning applications, non-material amendments, discharge of conditions applications and pre-application enquiries; checking the technical detail and accuracy of all plans submitted to make sure they are accurately drawn and that all legal requirements are met, including downloading applications from the Planning Portal website; adding to and maintaining all relevant Statutory Registers by the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
- To produce Site Notices and consult non-statutory and statutory consultees on all new planning applications and record responses using the planning applications database as required by the Senior Planning Administration Officer.
- To produce and advertise Public Notices in appropriate local newspapers and to proof the press edition.
- Digitise site-based information directly onto the Authority's GIS mapping system, running site-related planning constraints and populating information fields in the planning applications database.
- To deputise for the Senior Planning Administration Officer in times of absence as necessary.
- To produce a weekly report of all applications received and publicise as required.
- To process withdrawn applications and notify third parties.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level II Business Administration OR Customer Service OR three years' relevant administration experience
- Previous administrative experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant administrative or office-related qualifications are a plus.
