SEN Teacher

Are you a qualified teacher looking to join a talented, hardworking and friendly team?

Empowering Learning have partnered with an SEN setting in Guildford. The School believe in the power of education to transform lives and give new opportunities. They are currently seeking a class teacher to work with a small class of SEND students. This is an opportunity to be part of a thriving specialist provision that fosters continuous professional development, challenge, and support.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and motivating lessons with a personalised programme of learning for students.
  • Contributing to the improvement of pupils' participation in learning and Academy life.
  • Ensuring the creation of a calm and productive working environment.

The School welcome applications from ECTs and experienced teachers, as part of a larger Trust they are able to offer support to both as well as a comprehensive Induction Programme.

We are looking for a committed candidate with these qualifications:

  • a desire to work with some of the most complex young people in their community
  • demonstrable experience in securing successful academic outcomes
  • demonstrable experience in managing challenging behaviour
  • sufficient command of spoken English as defined under the Code of Practice on English language requirements for public sector workers

The School offers special provision for primary age boys with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. The trust is improving rapidly and we are entering an exciting new phase of development with significant additions being built onto the school. The latest OFSTED inspection was 'good'.
