Accounts Payable Analyst

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of the finance department. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised as you liaise with both colleagues and external parties, ensuring smooth financial transactions. Your ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment will be key as you manage the Accounts Payable inbox, resolve queries, verify supplier bank details, and ensure timely payments. Your commitment to process improvement will shine as you identify opportunities for increased efficiency and stronger controls.

  • Manage the daily processing of invoices and credit notes
  • Assist with training new team members
  • Manage the Accounts Payable inbox to ensure timely resolution of queries
  • Verify bank details with suppliers to ensure that payments can be made on time
  • Ensure suitable processes are documented & followed
  • Support with root-cause investigations for repetitive invoice queries & processing problems and assist with process improvements
  • Maintain and reconcile vendor balances and investigate aged creditors
  • Reconcile various accounts at month-end
  • Identify process improvements where possible to bring efficiencies and strengthen controls

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Analyst position brings a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills. You should hold an AAT or equivalent qualification or be studying towards it. Experience with SAP would be advantageous. Your ability to work both independently and within a team will be crucial in this role, as well as your capacity to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
