Health and Safety Advisor
Location:Ardersier, Inverness
Contract Type:Contract / Permanent
Salary:
- Contract:250-300 per day
- Permanent:45,000 - 50,000 per annum + Digs, Company Car and Fuel Card
Reporting To:Senior Health and Safety Manager
Key Objectives
As a Health and Safety Advisor, your primary goal is to promote, advise, train, and consult on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental issues within a construction environment. You will work closely with the Senior Health and Safety Manager to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and foster a safe working environment for all staff.

Qualifications
- Level 3 NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate(Essential)
- CSCS Card(Essential)
- Behavioural Safety Training(Desirable)
- Temporary Works Awareness(Desirable)
- Lifting Operations Training (Desirable)
Responsibilities
- Safety Compliance:Prevent injuries and damage to plant and equipment. Ensure compliance with legal and company health, safety, and welfare requirements
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):Ensure the correct provision and use of PPE across site operations
- Inspections & Audits:Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory codes of practice, and method statements
- Health & Safety Documentation:Assist in preparing method statements, safety rules, and safety reports, and maintain accurate records and statistics
- Training & Inductions:Support in delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, task briefings, and method statement reviews
- Incident Investigation:Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences. Make recommendations to prevent recurrence and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Safety Protocols & Client Requirements:Help develop and implement safety protocols, ensuring they meet client requirements
- Legislative Updates:Stay informed on the latest safety legislation, codes of practice, and safety literature, and ensure all team members are updated
- Environmental Awareness:Ensure the site adheres to environmental policies and objectives, contributing to sustainable construction practices.
- Professional Interaction:Maintain communication with professional safety bodies and keep the team informed of industry best practices.
