What You Will Do:

  • Optimise machinery output and product quality while minimising plant downtime through preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response.
  • Lead teams within specific areas or zones when acting as Lead Engineer.
  • Quickly and effectively respond to Mechanical, Electrical, and PLC control breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to company and legislative health and safety guidelines.
  • Mentor junior Maintenance Engineers and Apprentices, enhancing team skills and knowledge.
  • Manage contractors and produce Engineering Shift Reports when deputising for the Engineering Shift Manager.

What You Will Bring:

  • Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering or a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience, preferably with an Electrical & Control Engineering Bias.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, capable of making effective decisions and motivating others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
