Professional Technical are currently working with a leading motorsports company in Buckinghamshire and are on the search for an experienced Composite Design Engineer to join their team. This is a contract opportunity, operating inside IR35.

Job Role:

As a Composite Design Engineer you will be responsible for design and development of composite components, ensuring exceptional performance, weight reduction and durability.

  • Design and develop composite components using CAD (Siemens NX)
  • Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams: aerodynamicists, stress analysts and manufacturing engineering
  • Ensure designs meet all requirements: structural, performance and reliability
  • Conducting design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement

Job Requirements:

As a Composite Design Engineer, we are requiring the following to be considered:

  • Degree qualified in relevant subject (Mechanical Engineering/Automotive/Motorsports)
  • Advanced user of CAD (Siemens NX)
  • Strong understanding of composite materials, lay-up techniques and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with DEA and structural analysis principles
