Accounts Assistant

Location: BracknellSalary: £25,000

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company by managing day-to-day accounting tasks.This is an office based role and will require applicants to commute to Bracknell from Monday to Friday.Key Responsibilities

  • Raising/tracking invoices for both sales and purchases.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate customer records.
  • Handling invoice queries effectively and resolving them promptly.
  • Assisting in the analysis of the sales ledger and project accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Supporting the finance team with month-end and year-end processes to ensure a smooth financial closing.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the purchase ledger as required, ensuring supplier accounts are up-to-date.
  • Performing ad hoc tasks and supporting the wider team as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • Reconciling bank statements and managing petty cash transactions.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Organisation and time-management.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • (Preferred) AAT qualification or equivalent is preferred.
  • (Preferred) Experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
