Role overviewLA Micro Group is an independent technology group that is home to LA Direct Solutions and Bytestock.

We’re hiring for an Accounts Assistant (initially Maternity Cover) taking responsibility for Accounts Payable and Receivable.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all transactional accounting entries are accurate.
  • Review and entry against receipted stock items of vendor invoices.
  • Checking and chasing that returned items have been returned and a credit note has been received.
  • To assist in the preparation of weekly payment runs
  • Resolution of accounts payable related queries
  • Vendor Reconciliations
  • Process Employee Expense Claims
  • Setup and maintaining Fixed Asset Register
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Monthly prepayment reconciliation and journal.
  • Other Ad Hoc Tasks as required
  • Bimonthly VAT & Monthly Intrastat Returns
  • Import Declaration SADs
  • Credit Insurance monitoring
  • Customer Debt chasing

Suitable for candidates who:

  • Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk and a general accounts administration position.
  • Have VAT experience including Intrastat returns
  • Hands on experience in excel and accounting packages.
  • Microsoft Navision experience (a nice to have)
  • Good communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills
  • AAT qualification (nice to have)
  • Good telephone manner
  • Team fit

This role will be based in our office in Bracknell, five days a week. Operating on days: 8:45 am - 17:45 pm.
