Project Manager laboratory HVAC / CDM / RIBA

Location: BracknellRate: £60-69 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with laboratory HVAC / CDM 2015, RIBA to oversee and coordinate a variety of complex scientific infrastructure and automation projects. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of scientific infrastructure and automation projects, from planning and design to execution and closeout.
  • Set project deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor the progress of all tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to upper management, outlining project status, key challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure all projects meet agreed-upon scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with both internal customers and external contractors, representing the brand locally.
  • Apply extensive experience and judgment to solve problems and accomplish project goals.
  • Direct and lead the work of others, fostering collaboration and creativity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide expert guidance on project management best practices, including adherence to CDM 2015, RIBA, and CIBSE standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience managing scientific infrastructure and automation projects, with a focus on laboratory HVAC and mechanical design analysis.
  • Strong background in civil engineering project management.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical engineering and capital project management.
  • Knowledge and experience with CDM 2015, RIBA, and CIBSE standards.
  • Ability to manage complex projects involving both internal teams and external contractors.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in laboratory research environments, particularly in relation to HVAC systems and mechanical engineering.
  • Familiarity with civil and mechanical engineering principles as they apply to laboratory settings.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A suitable project management qualification is required.
  • A background in scientific or engineering disciplines is highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or training related to project management and laboratory design would be advantageous
