We are seeking a reliable, efficient, and enthusiastic individual to join our school as a Curriculum Cover Assistant. This permanent position is ideal for someone considering a career in teaching, or a Teaching Assistant or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant looking for career progression. You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of subject areas, supervising classes for absent teachers with provided plans and resources.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, utilising lesson plans and resources provided.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive environment for learning.
  • Assist in preparing teaching materials and learning environments.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to administrative tasks as required.
  • Address and manage student queries related to lesson content.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an educational setting is essential.
  • Educated to Level 3 (e.g., two GCE ‘A’ Level passes).
  • Must possess Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or higher or equivalent).
  • High level of initiative with the skills and confidence to handle challenging situations.
