Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting a special needs student, ensuring they have access to a safe and nurturing learning environment. This position is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a special needs student, assisting with personal care and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization.
  • Monitor and report on the student’s progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with special needs students, particularly in a school setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or personal care (preferred but not essential).
