Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant Wanted in Bracknell

We are searching for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children, young people, or adults with special educational needs, or in care settings.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Have at least 2-3 months of SEND support experience in a school, childcare, or care setting.
• Support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties to access the curriculum effectively.
• Demonstrate high levels of care and ambition for our students.
• Possess relevant skills to serve a diverse student community, including learners with ASC and SEMH.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to SEND students and deliver engaging activities.
• Assess, evaluate, and report on pupil progress.

Requirements:

• Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills.
• Available to work 08:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
• Recent experience with children in a school or similar environment is preferred; general experience with children in the UK is essential.
• To provide support, to include personal care, for the student experiencing physical or medical difficulties
• To be familiar with the student's care plan and provide care, encouragement and maintain dignity
• Enjoy working with children and witnessing their progress.
• Have or be willing to apply for a Child Only enhanced DBS.
• Live in Burnham/Slough or within a commutable distance.
