Assistant Finance Manager

We are working with an exciting client within the property sector who are looking to hire an Assistant Finance Manager. This Manager will be looking after 2 Management Accountants and reporting directly into the Group FC. If you are looking for an exciting fast-paced environment with lots of room for progression this role is for you.

Location: Bracknell - Hybrid - 3 days on site

Salary: 60k - 65k

Industry: Property

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate management reports in line with Group accounting policies (FRS102) and deliver them on time
  • Apply expertise in revenue recognition to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain the accuracy of Lettings revenue and cost accounting through journal preparation and proper GL processing
  • Analyse P&L variances and provide senior management with actionable insights
  • Partner with Regional Lettings Directors to assess and enhance P&L performance
  • Streamline processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of management accounts
  • Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations, promptly resolving any issues
  • Lead, train, and develop the team, including recruitment responsibilities
  • Support external audits by providing required documentation
  • Prepare and submit reports for the Office for National Statistics (ONS)
  • Authorise ad hoc bank payments as needed
  • Work with accounts payable to ensure invoices are correctly coded
  • Assist in developing the annual budget for the Lettings division

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Financial qualification - ACCA or ACA or CIMA
  • Experience working in a similar position within the property industry
  • Clear understanding of FRS102 and revenue recognition
  • Previous line management experience
  • Familiar with Divisional, Regional, and Branch accounting
  • Experienced in managing multi-site operations with extensive data and cost centres
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft office, Dynamics365
