Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Internal Sales Executive for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Bracknell area.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Freight Forwarding Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a understanding of the freight forwarding industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide competitive pricing for air, sea, and road freight. You will play a key role in generating quotes, negotiating with carriers, and ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Arrange and complete competitive and accurate pricing for Bids, Tenders, and General Quotes for air, sea, and road freight.
- Generate quotes using the Cargowise system.
- Collaborate with airlines, sea carriers, and freight partners to obtain competitive rates.
- Handover details and shipment instructions to the operations team upon securing shipments.
- Follow up on quotes to secure sales and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain strong relationships with UK customers and overseas partners/agents.
- Address and resolve any queries related to quotes and shipments.
Requirements:-
- Basic standard of education (up to GCSE level or equivalent).
- Experience within the Freight Forwarding industry.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding processes and operations.
- Good verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong numeracy skills for accurate pricing and quotations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Strong customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
