Psychology Grad - Bracknell

A warm and welcoming school in Bracknell are on the search for a 1:1 Support Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.

Your role as a 1:1 Support Assistant:

As a 1:1 Support Assistant your main role and duty will be to provide support to those children who are facing learning difficulties. The class teacher have specialized interventions, designed to meet the needs of the children and meet them where they are. The interventions are in place to build upon their skills, promote their independence and promote their overall mental health and wellbeing.

The children in this school have struggles with many learning difficulties. These are often Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Dyslexia, Speech Impediments and Asperger's. Your role as a Special Educational Needs Assistant will mostly revolve around supporting those students that struggle with these difficulties and ensuring that they can access their education in the same way as their peers.

The successful 1:1 Support Assistant:

The successful 1:1 Support Assistant will be an individual who is calm, works well under pressure and has a positive and encouraging personality. You will ideally have some experience working with children and be eager to learn.

This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for a new challenge. This role will also suit aspiring educational psychologists, counsellors as well as behavior therapists. While this role will provide you with valuable experience working with children with additional needs, it is also extremely fulfilling and you will go home every day knowing you are making a difference.
