Project Manager - SIEM Implementation
£450/day | 6-Month Contract | Inside IR35 | Onsite in Berkshire (3-4 days per week)
Salt's Local Government Technology Contract Team is excited to bring you an exclusive opportunity to work with a dynamic local government client, leading the implementation of critical security and resilience solutions. This role is perfect for a seasoned Project Manager with experience in SOC/SIEM solutions and a passion for delivering impactful projects in the public sector.
The RoleAs the Project Manager, you will spearhead the implementation of a managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution, such as Microsoft Sentinel. You'll ensure the project aligns with the council's security, resilience, and operational goals while working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of SOC/SIEM solutions tailored to local government needs.
- Oversee project timelines, ensuring milestones are met on schedule.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and emergency planning teams to ensure alignment with organisational priorities.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure the delivery of contracted services.
- Support organisational training on new tools and systems.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure or security implementation projects.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM solutions, ideally Microsoft Sentinel, and SOC frameworks.
- Experience working within the local government sector, including familiarity with regulatory and operational standards.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills.
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2 or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35).
- Duration: 6 months (initial term).
- Location: Berkshire, with 3-4 days per week onsite required.
