CDM Principal Designer
Salary Package (including car allowance): £45-60K + Other Benefits - depending on relevant experience
Location: Full-time based in the Bracknell office no WFH option
The Role
Are you a skilled and experienced CDM Principal Designer with a deep understanding of construction processes and a passion for health and safety? Do you hold membership in a relevant professional institution? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are a specialist construction consultancy with a strong focus on CDM and Health & Safety, looking to expand our team with a dedicated CDM Principal Designer. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, providing expert guidance throughout all project stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Principal Designer, overseeing and coordinating the pre-construction phase and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.
- Engage with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure that all designs comply with health and safety requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide advice to mitigate potential hazards.
- Regularly attend site visits and coordinate safety measures across multiple projects.
About You:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a CDM Principal Designer.
- Current membership of the Association for Project Safety (IMaPS minimum; CMaPS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Flexibility for travel and overnight stays when required.
- A full, clean UK Driving Licence.
We also welcome candidates with lesser experience for a Principal Designer role, provided they demonstrate the right skills and enthusiasm.
