Mechanical Inspector / CMM programmer required for expanding sub contract precision engineering company. The ideal candidate will have experience Programming CMM with Mcosmos and/or QCT, completing FAIRs, and conducting general mechanical inspection techniques. The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Inspector will be to ensure that all manufactured products meet quality standards and specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical inspections on manufactured products using various tools and equipment
  • Utilise Mcosmos & QCT software for CMM programming and inspection
  • Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to verify product conformance
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality control data
  • Provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams on product quality and improvements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical inspection in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Mcosmos software and CMM programming (n.b. specific software training may be proved for the right person)
  • Knowledge of FAIRs and AS9100 quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
