Quest Search and Selection are partnering with one of the leading specialist food brands in the UK and Europe . The business is looking for a Buyer - FMCG to take care of a portfolio of finished product categories and will take on an important role to drive the growth and profitability of the category.

As a Buyer - FMCG your main duties will include:

  • Developing and executing buying strategies for product portfolio.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring suppliers can support business growth.
  • Negotiating prices and productivity plans
  • Compliance check for new suppliers, making sure with all necessary reports and documentation are in place.
  • Handling exclusivity agreements, tenders, and contracts.
  • Maintaining timely communication with all stakeholders to ensure clarity in decision-making and follow-up
  • Staying informed on category trends, market dynamics, product innovations, and competitor activities.
  • Date savvy - you will be managing pricing and promotions including sheets, GPCs, and supplier master data

To be considered for this Buyer - FMCG, you must have:

  • Ideally having 2-3 + years of experience in retail food or FMCG
  • Have operated at a Buyer, Category Buyer/Manager, Junior Buyer or Trading Manager level . We would consider someone looking for a step up, as the business has great learning & development opportunities for an upward trajectory in your career.
  • Exceptional negotiation and supplier experience.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining positive supplier relationships
  • Experienced using SAP or Excel
  • Flexible for business travels on av. 1 every 6 weeks for EU travel (av. 2-night visit).
