We are proud to be working exclusively with Bracknell Forest Council to recruit a Procurement Officer position for the People & Communities directorates.
In your role as a Procurement Officer with the Council you will be supporting cross-functional teams to develop new contracts, delivering clear service improvements and real cash savings. You will advise commissioners on procurement and contract management issues and deliver above threshold and strategic procurements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and contract standing orders.
You will be a highly adaptable individual, looking for a challenging and rewarding role within a very supportive team environment. You'll be personable and self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong and positive relationships internally with your stakeholders. We are also particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have good overall knowledge and experience of e-tendering and procurement systems, excellent computer skills and evidence of continuing professional development.
Previous experience in either an IT or a Social Care category focused procurement position would be advantageous and you will ideally be working towards your MCIPS qualification and have up to date knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023.
Salary and benefits
The salary range is £40,476 - 45,718 + £706 London Weighting Allowance
Bracknell Forest Council operates a very flexible hybrid working policy. You can be based at home or in the office, however you prefer to work, although you will need to be within a reasonable commute of Bracknell for meetings as and when required. The office is in Time Square in Bracknell, with great transport links and easy access to the regenerated town centre.
