We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a fixed-term contract. This role will primarily focus on addressing a backlog of accounts payable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Job Title: Accounts Assistant 6-month contract

Location: Bracknell

Salary: 32,000 - 34,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with a backlog of accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices against inventory items and expensing employee claims
  • Investigate and resolve any accounts payable related queries
  • Checking credit notes have been received for returned stock
  • Set up and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
  • Handle bimonthly VAT and monthly Intrastat returns
  • Maintain accurate financial records and update databases as needed
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure proper cash management

Skills and Experience:

  • AAT qualification or qualified through experience
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Microsoft Navision experience (desirable)
