As a result of one of their employees taking time off on maternity leave, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced all-round accounts assistant for this six-month fixed term contract. There is the probabilty of a permanent role thereafter, although not guaranteed.
The main thrust of the role in the initial phase will centre around the accounts payable function, but will evolve into assisting with accounts receivable, employee expenses, bank reconciliations, VAT, Intrastat, maintenance of the fixed asset register, prepayments and journals and some elements of credit control.
The team is quite small and sits with the sales and marketing teams so it can be quite a lively environment. Therefore, you will have a strong outgoing personality. Good Excel skills are a pre-requisite and experience of MS Navision is an advantage although not essential.
This role would suit a candidate perhaps pursuing AAT who has a strong foundation with the accounts environment looking to further their careeer
You should be available to start within the next month. Please note this role is 4 days in the office and 1 working from home.
