We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant. This role will primarily focus on accounts payable but will also encompass a range of general accounting tasks to support the overall financial operations of the company. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial processes.

Title: Accounts Assistant FTC

Duration: 6-months

Salary: 32,000 - 34,000 per annum

Location: Bracknell

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Maintain and update accounts payable records, including vendor information and payment terms
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation of payment runs and ensure timely payment to vendors
  • Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and record keeping
  • Support month-end closing processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports and summaries as required
  • Collaborate with the team to improve processes and enhance overall efficiency
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries regarding accounts payable and general accounting matters
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an accounts payable and general accounts administration
  • Hands on experience with Excel and accounting software's
  • Microsoft Navision experience (desirable)
  • AAT Qualification (desirable)
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
