Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative food technology lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Foster a safe, creative, and inclusive environment in the kitchen and classroom.
- Guide students through the understanding and execution of culinary techniques and food safety protocols.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate food technology with other subjects and promote interdisciplinary learning.
- Organize and participate in food fairs, cooking competitions, and other school events related to food and nutrition.
- Stay updated with current trends in nutrition and culinary arts to enhance teaching practice and curriculum.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Food Technology or related subjects at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and culinary skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
