Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring history lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment criteria for history and use this to inform teaching practice.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity about the past and its impact on the present.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole school training events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop new curriculum materials and effective teaching strategies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Degree in History or a closely related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching history at secondary school level.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
