Day-to-day of the role:- Develop and deliver compelling and well-organized history lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Engage students with dynamic teaching methods that encourage critical thinking and a deep understanding of historical contexts.
- Assess student progress through both formal and informal methods, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and active learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Organize and lead field trips and other experiential learning activities to enhance students' understanding of historical topics.
- Stay updated with current historiographical debates and pedagogical methods.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in History or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching history at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of different historical periods and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
