Speech and Language Therapist
A thriving and inclusive secondary school are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to come in and contribute to the holistic development of their students.
The successful Speech and Language Therapist will work with students who have speech, language and communication needs. You will work to ensure that they receive high-quality interventions and provide support that is tailored to their individual needs.
Your key responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to ensure that all are implementgn effective communication in the classroom and at home
- provide one-to-one group therapy sessions to support students in developing their communication and language skills
- Assess, identify and develop persoanlised therapy plans for students who have speech, language and commuication needs and difficulties
- Monitor student progress, and adjust students plans and interventions accordingly
- Provde guidance to the school staff on communication friendly techniques
What you need to be a successful Speech and Langauge Therapist:
- A recognized degree or diploma in Speech and Langauge Therapy
- A willingness to undertake ongoing training
- Experence workign with parents, carers and professionals
- Ability to work well individually with students who have a range of needs
- Ability to engage and work well with students
- Good communication skills
- Ability to write reports to a good standard
