Finance Director

Robert Half are partnering with Steve Vick International (SVI), a multi-faceted manufacturing business based in Bradford on Avon, to recruit an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director.

This is a fantastic opportunity to add value and drive business performance within a board level position where you will take on an all-encompassing role.

The Company

Steve Vick International (SVI) is dedicated to delivering cost-saving solutions for damaged, redundant, or outdated pipework. Since its foundation in 1981, SVI has been at the forefront in developing products and techniques for the repair, renovation and decommissioning of pipes. Predominantly their work has been in the gas industry, but they are increasingly undertaking projects in the water and nuclear sectors.

Being family-owned, the organisation has the flexibility to make their own investment decisions and strategic plans which ultimately gives this position increased freedom and ability to influence critical decisions, drive operational efficiencies and make a real impact.

The business has gone from strength to strength in the last 10 years, having seen tremendous growth from £7mil to £15mil t/o. With a current workforce of 110 employees, SVI demonstrates significant potential to strengthen its presence in existing markets while also diversifying into new ones.

The impressive tenure in the business, with some employees giving 20+ years in service, is testament to the family-feel ethos than runs throughout - where employees are treated as individuals rather than numbers and contributions celebrated, recognised and valued.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director - this pivotal board role takes on responsibility for SVI's long-term financial health and growth, overseeing all financial aspects of business strategy and the flow of timely and accurate financial information to the board of Directors.

With a strong flair for strategic thinking, we are looking for an experienced Finance Director who will thrive in a multi-disciplined role that spans across operations, risk and compliance. In a position of extensive responsibility, you will offer key strategic advice and analysis in relation to our planned growth and diversification strategy.

You will drive all aspects of commercial and financial performance, acting as a key business partner to the Managing Director while delivering comprehensive decision support to the senior leadership team.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience within a similar level role / ability to present to and advise at Board/Exec level

Benefits

  • £95,000 - £110,000 basic salary
  • Car allowance £5,000 per annum
  • Profit-related incentive scheme/bonus
  • Workplace pension scheme with matched contributions up to 7.5%
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with an incremental holiday package
