Electro-Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to analyse and improve the performance of medical devices by investigating mechanical, electronic, and software components. This role involves solving complex issues, conducting forensic analysis, and recommending effective solutions. You will work closely with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to address component obsolescence, improve design reliability, and enhance quality control.

Key responsibilities include:

* Analysing and troubleshooting device functions, identifying root causes of issues using technical documents and experiments.

* Working autonomously to evaluate and implement solutions across software, hardware, and manufacturing processes.

* Collaborating with teams to improve designs and manufacturing processes, ensuring successful implementation without introducing new issues.

* Documenting and communicating technical decisions clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

* Supporting R&D efforts by improving equipment and assisting scientists in research projects.

Qualifications:

MSc/MEng in Engineering (e.g., Systems, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Electronics) or related field.

5+ years of experience in a regulated industry (e.g., ISO 13485).

Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Altium) and electromechanical design for manufacturing.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience in lab instrumentation.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience with embedded software (C), sensors, motors, pneumatics, and device design is a plus.
