We're recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client - a stable, growing business with a genuinely supportive team culture. They're looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a part-time basis (21 hours a week), someone who's dependable, accurate, and quietly proud of keeping the books in order.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

  • Purchase and sales ledger processing

  • Managing POs, invoices, staff expenses and credit card transactions

  • Supplier payments and reconciliations

  • Bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting

  • Month-end and year-end support

  • A bit of everything else that keeps the finance function ticking along

There's some cover involved for colleagues now and then - standard in a close-knit team.

What We're Looking For

The ideal person will have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Purchase Ledger

  • Confidence using Sage50 and Excel (beyond the basics)

  • A natural eye for detail - and the calm persistence to chase missing info

  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to their work

  • The ability to communicate clearly and work well with colleagues at all levels
