Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in Bradford who are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team. You will assist the Group Finance Director in managing all aspects of the finance department including streamlining processes.

Location: Bradford (office-based)Job-Type: Full-TimeSalary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Accruals/prepayments preparation and postings
  • Cash flow management
  • Management foreign currency purchases, foreign supplier payments and forward contracts
  • VAT returns
  • P11d reporting and expenses
  • Credit control management
  • Company credit card postings
  • Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and recharges
  • National statistics reporting
  • Liaise with professional parties (solicitors, banks, accountants)

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience in accounts or a graduate in an accounting related subject
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines within a fast paced environment
  • Accurate with a strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Excel, Sage 200, Sage CRM and SharePoint (desirable)
