An opportunity has come available for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to sit under a Geotechnical Director to help manage a small department for an independent multi disciplinary consultancy.

You will be sat within a small Geotechnical team but apart for a wider civil/structural team and will experience in all aspects of technical delivery, developing/managing engineers, recruiting, financial management and business development etc.

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, your role will consist of writing desk studies, phase 2 reports, risk assessments, assessments, specifications and design across foundations, retaining walls, slopes and temporary works etc.

You will mostly delivery projects on a multi disciplinary basis across residential and commercial developments.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Specification:

  • 1st degree in Civil Engineering or Geology with a relative MSc in Geotechnics or Soil Mechanics.
  • Approaching or Chartered with ICE or CGeol
  • Will have proven previous experience of undertaking: geotechnical desk studies; procuring & supervising Ground Investigations (GIs),
  • Experience in contaminated land assessments and interpretation.
  • Demonstrable experience of geotechnical design (prelim or detailed). This includes a demonstrable understanding of the underlying principles and a knowledge of Eurocode 7
  • Full UK driving licence
