Our client, a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, is seeking a Project Manager - Fire & Building Safety to join their dynamic team.PurposeAs the Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring high-quality maintenance projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to enhance the living conditions of residents while upholding rigorous health and safety standards.Your role will directly contribute to creating safe, affordable homes that empower individuals and foster community spirit.Location: Bradford/ Peterborough - an office will be allocated depending on proximityKey Responsibilities:* Budget Management: Set and oversee budgets for fire safety maintenance programmes, ensuring value for money.* Project Execution: Plan and coordinate fire and building safety programmes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.* Contractor Management: Manage external contractors, monitor performance, and resolve disputes to maintain service standards.* Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with health and safety and quality requirements.* Customer Advocacy: Champion customer safety by promoting fire and building safety awareness across the organisation.What You Bring:* Experience: Minimum of 3 years managing fire safety works in the social housing sector.* Knowledge: Familiarity with CDM 2015, Approved Document B, and relevant fire safety regulations, sec 20 - training and support is available* Skills: Strong negotiation skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex safety programmes.* Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports.The Must-Haves:* HNC/Degree/Diploma in a relevant field - construction, The build environment, project management* Proficiency in budget management and forecasting.* Strong working knowledge of project management software and MS Office.* Relevant certifications such as SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safety, or NEBOSH.* Experience in managing fire alarm contracts and systems - checks and audit to make sure everything works as expectedWhy Join Us?* Salary £45,148 + car allowance of £1,250 + mileage pay (salary can be negotiable DOE)* Generous annual leave with 1 day increase per year.* A choice of Pension Schemes including a Defined Benefit Scheme with a 7.5%-member contribution or a Defined Contribution Scheme with a 4%-member contribution.
