Compass are proud to be working with a leading provider of clinical pharmacy services, delivering expert solutions to GP federations, GP surgeries, and primary care networks across the country. Their mission is to drive innovation, enhance clinical outcomes, and improve patient care. At present, they are looking for a highly motivated Clinical Operations Manager to join their senior leadership team.


As a Clinical Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the delivery of the clinical pharmacy services, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring compliance with all relevant governance frameworks. You will be responsible for managing a national team of clinical pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring operational excellence and driving continuous service improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring that all clinical and non-clinical staff meet and exceed regulatory standards.
  • Lead, manage, and develop clinical staff, ensuring their performance and growth align with business targets.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership, maintaining excellent relationships and responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Drive service development and innovation, continuously improving the quality and scope of services provided.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory frameworks, conducting risk assessments and monitoring staff competencies.
  • Manage operational processes including rota management, staff cover, performance reviews, and service audits.
  • Analyse clinical/non-clinical data, creating reports and dashboards for senior leadership and board review.
  • Support business planning and service development to contribute to the companys long-term success.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, and attend conferences as needed.


Requirements:

  • Registered Clinical Pharmacist,Nurse Practitioner or Practice Manager with a minimum of 2years experience in primary care.
  • Registered with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) or NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) with good standing.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in clinical operations, preferably within a primary care setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Primary Care Network (PCN) Directed Enhanced Service (DES), General Medical Services (GMS), and Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and team performance effectively.
