Role Summary:
XCL are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Services Engineer to deliver Site Services contracts effectively and safely across the UK, offshore, and overseas. This role requires strong technical expertise in LV and MV switchgear systems, coupled with exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and support continuous improvement in site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and timely execution of Site Services contracts, meeting high-quality standards and project deadlines.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Health & Safety Work Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all site activities.
- Maintain adherence to company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in the feedback process for site reports to drive continuous improvement in site and assembly processes.
- Complete and submit all site documentation, including reports, time sheets, and expense claims, promptly to support accurate invoicing and payroll.
- Leverage technical expertise to manage the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of LV and MV switchgear, motor control centers, and associated systems.
- Apply knowledge of electronic protection relay testing and communication systems, if applicable.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to build confidence and exceed their expectations.
- Plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Solve problems pragmatically by evaluating all relevant factors and options before making decisions.
- Promote teamwork within the function and across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience
- Expertise in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of LV and MV switchgear systems, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
- Familiarity with testing electronic protection relays and associated communication systems is advantageous.
- A minimum of ONC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
Hours of work:
Standard hours for this role will be 8am-4pm Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week.
Salary:
This role is starting at 31,500 per annum, however this may be negotiatable based on past experience.
