Sales and Estimating Manager - Structural SteelLocation: BradfordSalary: £60,000 - £70,000
We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead a high-performing team in a key role within a well-established structural steel company. This critical position is responsible for managing and improving the estimating function, ensuring projects are accurately costed and competitive while maintaining agreed margins.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, manage, and develop the Estimating team.
- Oversee incoming enquiries and ensure competitive pricing.
- Convert at least 3 enquiries per week while supporting team targets.
- Build relationships with clients, engineers, and contractors.
- Provide accurate reports on enquiries and pipeline progress.
- Attend pre- and post-tender meetings.
- Strong background in construction estimating, ideally in structural steel.
- Knowledge of structural and civil engineering principles.
- Experience in pricing projects from 50 - 3,000 tonnes.
- Commercial awareness and ability to value engineer solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Line management experience and ability to develop a team.
