We seek to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Learning and Development Manager who is looking to take their career to the next level within a thriving family-run fast food business.
The Role:
In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the growth and development of all team members, with a primary focus on management apprentices. Reporting directly to the MD and working alongside the Operations Manager and People Manager in this multisite role, you'll sit on the Senior Leadership Team and contribute to shaping the future of the business.
This is a hands-on role that requires you to be present in the restaurants, actively engaging with staff at all levels to foster a culture of learning, growth, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage training programmes, including tracking progress and evaluating outcomes.
- Deliver on-the-ground training for apprentices and team members across all 3 sites.
- Preempt and address operational challenges by working collaboratively with restaurant teams.
- Act as the "go-to" training expert, supporting managers and team leaders.
- Provide feedback and evaluations to the Senior Leadership Team to enhance development strategies.
- Support HR-related initiatives and contribute to team cohesion.
- Manage training budgets and maintain accurate training records.
- Prepare regular reports on training outcomes and progress for the leadership team.
The Person:
This role is for a dynamic, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You'll need to be adaptable, resilient, and eager to work with a diverse team across three busy restaurants.
Key Attributes:
- Patient and empathetic, with the ability to work with individuals of different ages, backgrounds, and personalities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and respect.
- A team player who isn't afraid to "get stuck in" and lead by example.
- Resilient and not precious - you'll need to embrace the realities of working in a fast-food kitchen!
Your Experience:
- A background in operations, manufacturing, food, hospitality, or retail.
- Hands-on training experience in non-office environments (not classroom-based).
- CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Open to HR/Business graduates eager to grow in training and HR.
