Swift Placements are working with a client based in Bradford who are a leading provider of high-quality industrial sealing products and services. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence, they deliver solutions that meet the needs of various industries.

Our client is looking to recruit for a Customer Service Advisor on a full-time permanent basis, you will be the first point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service and support. This role involves handling customer inquiries, processing orders, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with various departments to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Please note: This is a full-time office-based role.

The package:

Full time permanent position

Monday to Friday

Hours: 8:00- 5:00 Monday to Thursday; Friday early finish at 3:30pm

Salary on offer: 25,000- 27,000 per annum DOE!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support with the management of accounts.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are correct.
  • Assist customers with product information, pricing of sales quotes, availability, and lead times.
  • Cross sell products that the business has to offer.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively, escalating to the Customer Service Manager when necessary.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales, logistics, and production, to fulfil customer orders and resolve any issues.
  • Build rapport with clients efficiently and professionally
  • Update and maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system.
  • Monitor order progress and communicate any delays or changes to customers proactively.
  • Provide administrative support to the Customer Service team and assist with various projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in customer service processes and suggest enhancements.

Skills required:

  • Customer-Focused Attitude: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, especially when handling orders and data entry.
  • Team Player: Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment and collaborating with colleagues across departments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, ideally in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
