Job Title:Internal Sales / Commercial Coordinator (Pricing)
Reporting to: Commercial Manager
Based inm Bradford working for a growing Freight Forwarder

Role Description

This is a key role that contributes directly to the profitability of the company, involving taking customer enquiries, providing quotations gaining new business.
You will be expected to be proactive in the role and maintain and develop business relationships. Effective communication and close team working is key.

Accountabilities
To provide accurate, competitive pricing to customers and the external sales team
To work as a team to demonstrate excellence in all aspects of the team's overarching purpose
To maximise Profit Per Job (PPJ) whilst maintaining a realistic price

Key Responsibilities:
- Dealing with customers' queries/enquiries via telephone/email.
- Calculate and advise rates to customers & the external sales team
- Provide customers with quotes as requested/required.
- Deal with Invoice and price disputes.
- Work with rate sheets.
- Develop and grow long-term relationships with customers and shipping companies
- Price up bookings and monitor and maintain pricing inbox.

As required:
- Networking and undertaking research, where necessary, to keep ahead of competition
- Persuading customers our high service levels will satisfy their requirements in terms of quality, service and price.
- Interpreting and managing customer requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business within your capability

Qualifications:
- Good level of education in Maths and English
- Previous experience of working in a commercial environment or in a commercial coordinator position would be an advantage however, not essential as training will be given.
- Experience of working in import/export freight forwarding wor other Transport related industry
