Assembly Operative

Cubed Talent is working with an award-winning manufacturer that designs, manufactures and installs solutions for air management, across various working environments.

They now have an exciting opportunity for an CAD Engineer to join the team. This role is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire and is accessible from Bradford, Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield and Cleckheaton.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and engineer high-quality 3D models of our Acoustic Containers and Air Optimisers which primarily serve the Data Centre Market.
  • Produce initial GA drawings to submit for customer approval and develop them into detailed manufacturing drawings, using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Software.
  • Produce "As Built" drawings incorporating lessons learned from previous builds working closely with our Operations Team.
  • Liaise with our internal Engineering / Operations Teams and our external customers as part of ongoing Project and R&D meetings.
  • Offer suggestions for design changes to increase production efficiencies and optimise material usage.
  • Communicate at all levels within the business, contribute ideas during design team meetings and undertake site visits / customer meetings as required.
  • Liaise with our Engineering and Operations teams to ensure our design / drawing fits within budget and highlight any expected cost increases through design changes.
  • Always ensure drawing accuracy and programme deadlines are met.
  • Be customer focussed and committed to delivering excellent service.
  • Ensure that all work is undertaken in compliance with our company’s internal design, safety, quality and environmental processes.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Experience producing 3D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and 2D drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Experience using Autodesk Vault software.
  • Experience working for a manufacturing company, ideally one serving the Acoustic Container or Data Centre cooling sectors.
  • Microsoft Office skills are essential.
  • Experience managing or leading a team would be beneficial because of the opportunity for progression that comes with this position.
