White Label are working exclusively with an engineering business in Bradford who are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer your role will be situated within the R&D department where you will be tasked with design and value engineering of existing and customising company products to match the agreed customer specification, cost targets and timescales.
It will be your job to bring innovative cost-effective solutions to product design and developing these into working designs.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer
- To provide innovative design solutions for the R&D department.
- To manage short-term projects from inception to successful introduction.
- Using SAP and generating bills of material.
- Communicating with different departments to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Identify cost effective design solutions and understand the cost of engineering change.
- Design of sheet metal products.
- Act as a key function with the mechanical engineering team.
Experience requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer
- HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
- 3D CAD design experience.
- 3 years or more experience in a mechanical engineering design role.
Package/Details
- A salary of 33,000 - 35,000 is on offer depending on experience.
- 25 days holiday + bank holiday.
- 37.5 hours per week with core hours being 7am-7pm. Can come in earlier to finish earlier etc.
- Potential for 2 days work from home once settled in. The client is looking to implement work from home going forwards as they look to increase flexibility.
- Pension 5% employer and 3% employee.
