We are seeking full-time SEMH Teaching Assistants to work with students in Key Stages 2, 3, and 4 who face additional learning and behavioural needs in the Bradford BD20 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide meaningful support and work closely with students Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them access the curriculum and engage in their learning journey.
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to support individual learning plans and interventions.
  • Assist in managing behaviour, implementing strategies that promote a positive and structured learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and professionals to ensure a personalised approach to each student's development.
  • Support students in building self-esteem, emotional resilience, and social skills.
  • Monitor progress and offer feedback to staff, contributing to the overall well-being and success of the students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or similar behavioural challenges.
  • A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Eligible to work in the UK without any restrictions. (No sponsorship)
