Teaching Assistant (Behaviour Specialist)
  • Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only
  • Salary: £90.00 - £108.00 per day

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals committed to making a significant impact on the lives of children. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide stability, education, and empowerment to students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, In secondary education.
  • Encourage and support staff positively and use restraint training methods when dealing with difficult escalating behaviours.
  • Support pupils in overcoming crises and assist them in dealing with the consequences.
  • Assist in integrating the child into the rest of the class/group.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other staff members.
  • Empower pupils and encourage positive regulation of social and emotional skills.
  • Keep the child focused in class and ensure they complete the work that is set.
  • Develop positive and trusting relationships with the pupils.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in Education, alternative provision, or similar setting.
  • Level one or above Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. (prefered)
  • Proactive approach and flexibility in temporary work patterns.
  • Team Teach training is desirable, however, training is provided.
  • Must possess or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS subscribed to the update service.
